Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in men in the UK. Every year 37,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Currently, 250,000 men are living with the disease and one man dies every hour of prostate cancer in the UK.  The charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

Castle Donington Football Club started over 30 years ago as a fledgling junior boys football club.  A few Dads got together to try and give the youngsters of the village a game of football and so the under 10‘s ventured into the Derby Community League. 

Gradually the number of teams increased and it was then that a more formal structure to the club was developed, with a committee and rules.  As time progressed, girls teams were encouraged and they started to grow with the help of female club members.  The FA Charter Standard was achieved and today we are an FA Charter Standard Community Club, which is a great achievement for our club and we now run 14 teams under the age of 16.

Maintaining this status and providing such a great community service, is down to all the volunteers that keep the club running.  In addition we rely on sponsorship from local business and donations to ensure our juniors have the training and equipment they need to succeed and enjoy playing football.
